I know it has been awhile since the last post, and I just wanted to update everyone on Army. He really has home life figured out. He has his favorite spots in the house, for some reason they are on the bare carpet and not the beds, but that is just part of Army's goofiness, and he is such a goof ball. If something has his attention he really does not notice anything else, which leads to him tripping over his own feet or running into stuff. He is so funny to watch sometimes. For example when he is excited about going out he will circle the couch for about 4 or 5 time before he tries to stand still for the leash and then he is so excited he tries to put his leash on with his mouth open and it ends up looking like a bridle. Add to this Army seems to have very little fear, so you end up with a dog who get excited, paces and then runs into the wall sometimes when he makes the transition from carpet to hard surface. It does not bother him. You just hear a slight "thud" and Army just keeps on going like nothing happened.
I did say little fear. I have found a few things that give him pause. He is not a big fan of thunder or the vacuum cleaner. The thunder has to rather loud for him to notice, and he does not run in terror of either it or the vacuum. With the thunder he just wants to know where it is coming from and with the vacuum he just does not want to be cornered by it.
Army has improved on his walks by leaps and bounds. He is still very curious about everything but he does not try to pull you after what has his interest, and if you keep walking he does not really stop to go investigate, but he will keep looking back and often trip over his own feet. As I said he is a goof ball and a sweet heart. He wants to have your attention and wants to be with you.
All in all Army is ready to find his forever home. He is just waiting for the right family to come along. Here he is looking cute and waiting for you to find him.
